The OPEX model delivered exactly what was promised. The 100kW plant — owned and operated by R-Solar — generates clean power on site. Shri Patidar pays a fixed per-unit tariff, resulting in estimated annual savings of ₹8,00,000 versus the prevailing industrial grid rate.
No capital was deployed by the client. No maintenance burden. No tariff exposure. This is the OPEX model working in practice — and the template R-Solar is now scaling to MW-level Open Access projects across Madhya Pradesh.
The Shri Patidar pilot validated the OPEX model. R-Solar is now developing ground-mount Open Access projects in MP — targeting industrial clusters in the Nimar belt, Pithampur, and Mandideep. Under Open Access, factories with contracted demand above 500kW can source solar power directly from R-Solar's ground-mount plant, bypassing the grid tariff entirely.
